G2 manual and Series 4 electric wheelchair measurement
By using the following instructions to measure your wheelchair, you will be assured that you are ordering the correct chair dimensions and or replacement component dimensions.
Seat Width
To determine seat width of the G2 manual and Series 4 power wheelchair, please measure from the outside edge of the seat panel as shown in the picture (left). Ensure that the chair is folded out by pushing down and out on each side of the seat panel. Try and allow 1cm of clearance each side of the client. Eg. if the client measures 44cm across the hips when seated, we suggest making the seat width 46cm.
Seat Depth
To determine the seat depth of the G2 manually propelled wheelchair and Series 4 powered wheelchair, please measure from the front edge to the rear edge of the seating panel as show in the picture (left). Try and allow 2 - 3 cm clearance behind clients knee / legs and front edge of seating panel.

Backrest Height
To determine G2 and Series 4 backrest height, please measure from the top of the seat panel to the top front edge of the backrest panel as shown in the photograph (left).
*Please note: Our panels are made in increments of 3cm eg. 40cm, 43cm, 46cm etc.

For backrest heights exceeding 52cm backrest extensions are required. Backrest extensions are made in increments of 10cm, up to a maximum of 40cm.

Seat Height
To determine the seat height dimension, please measure from the front top edge of the seat panel to the ground in a vertical alignment as shown in the graphic (left).
Knee to Heel Length
To determine knee to heel dimension please measure from the inside edge of the footplate, to the top front edge of seat upholstery, as per the picture (left). Allow for thickness of the seat cushion in your measurement.
